Would be nice to be able to trigger certain builds or jobs by commenting on a pull request. CCI-I-1213

We'd really like to access github labels in a ignore/only filter statement (similar to git tags). This would allow us to: Mark PRs that shouldn't be built at all (effectively preventing the PR from being merged) Mark PRs to build and unit test, but skip the integration tests Mark PRs for deployment to a specific staging environment IMO, that would improve circleci's capabilities in multi stage deployment scenarios. Vault supports features like dynamic secrets generation, where you could create AWS keys that were only good for a limited time. Instead of long-lived creds stored as environment variables, you can update them every day, or every CI/CD run. CCI-I-1069

To use runner, we went and configured the runner configuration with CircleCI and got dedicated hosts through AWS. We then took the off the shelf AMI and had to add customizations. If there were Circle images for for example if this contains xCode 11.2 - there would be benefit in getting a running macOS image to be able to import.

I added a manual approval "trigger_rollback" job recently to my Circle 2.0 workflow and did not like the UI integration with github. On builds where I did not trigger this optional "trigger_rollback" job, the overall Github status was "Some checks haven't completed yet." (See screenshot.) I talked to CircleCI support and they told me to deselect the status check for a "type: approval" job as described in this github article: https://circleci.com/docs/2.0/workflows-waiting-status/ , which I had already done. I still need the "trigger_rollback" job and corresponding status check. The "trigger_rollback" status check is type:approval, so I want it to be pending but I don't want the overall PR status to be pending -- instead I want the overall PR status to be green and say "All checks have passed." I want more customization in the notifications I receive from CircleCI, as I currently receive too many notifications that are not useful.

Team, I did reach out to circle ci customer support for configuring slack notification on workflow fail/ pass. But after trying multiple solutions provided by Josh and team, we failed to achieve it. So please provide this feature. Requirement: Slack notification on workflow fail/ pass event Use case: Regression has multiple job setup to execute automation test cases in 5 containers. So once this jobs are completed I would like to receive a notification each job status in one line expected output: workflow master-regression failed Jobs: goals2019 - failed, rtf email_rtf- passed, profile- failed

I often initiate builds that can take up to an hour and rely on notifications to know when they finish, allowing me to proceed with subsequent tasks. Instead of removing in-app notifications entirely, it would be beneficial to have more configuration options to control when and how they appear. This would enhance the user experience by providing flexibility in managing notifications according to individual preferences.
