Feature Requests

Description: Currently, CircleCI has removed skipped runs from the UI to create a cleaner experience. While this is generally helpful, there are cases where being able to see these skipped runs is valuable for troubleshooting and auditing purposes. Since these events are already recorded in the audit log, I'm requesting a feature that would allow organizations to optionally view these skipped runs in the UI. Use Cases: Debugging CI trigger patterns and configurations Verifying branch protection rules are working as expected Understanding organization workflow patterns holistically Auditing repository activity comprehensively Training new team members on CircleCI behavior Proposed Solutions Any of these options would address the need: A simple toggle in the Pipeline UI to show/hide skipped runs A repository-level setting in project configuration An organization-wide default that can be overridden per repository Business Value: This enhancement would maintain the current clean UI for most users while providing DevOps teams and administrators with the flexibility to see the complete history when needed. It would reduce the need to access audit logs for routine troubleshooting, saving time and improving workflow visibility.

Whenever some tests fail I have to go into the details of the tests job and click on "Rerun failed tests" in the button dropdown at the top right. I would love to have that button right in the pipeline overview when you expand a pipeline to reveal the workflow jobs. It would be amazing if there were a button similar to "Rerun workflow from failed" placed to the right of the job name, so I could rerun the failed tests without having to go into the details of the job.

Desired State: users of CircleCI are able to identify how many jobs are currently running. Current State: users of CircleCI are not able to identify how many jobs are currently running and must email an account manager for this information. Impact: this prevents users from easily identifying the time period when jobs are being queued and prevents paid users from being able to verify if their jobs should be queued.

Steps such as Restoring Cache capitalize the first letter of each word in the step name. Some steps, such a Checkout code do not. Some users have requested that we improve the consistency of our step naming conventions. CCI-I-1195

You are able to see all workflows/jobs for a given branch by going to https://circleci.com/gh/{org}/{project}/tree/{branch} such as https://circleci.com/gh/socialtables/ent-killer/tree/master It would be extremely useful to see a list of all tagged jobs/workflows for all tags. We use tags to trigger staging/production builds and have no way of visualizing a record of all workflows/jobs of this type. Added filtering to be able to get workflows that have done a certain step would also be very useful. For us, viewing all workflows that have succeeded job deploy-production would allow us to fully use Circle to manage deploys. CCI-I-621

There are links in the pipeline view commit ID back to the GitHub source code that it is building. However, there doesn't seem to be a link back to the GitHub PR. I see that there was one feature request for this previously. Like most engineers, I prefer to use a dark UI. CCI-I-930

Currently it is possible to view jobs and workflows by branch but you can not specify further to show individual workflows. Users with multiple workflows may have trouble finding certain jobs that run less often when there may be many commits being made.An example would be a project (on any branch) with a workflow that runs per-commit and a secondary workflow that runs once per week. There would currently be no way to exclusively view the scheduled weekly workflow. CCI-I-757

Once a project is created, you cannot rename it, or even delete it. We should be able to rename a project in the UI without having to ask for support to delete the project, then create it again with the new name.

Please stop showing the popup below. It comes up all the time. I don't want streaming updates for this project, not the first time I saw this banner, nor the 10,000th time. In general, it would make me very happy if CircleCI did not follow the unfortunate current trend in UI/UX of shoveling information at the user with popups. Thanks!
