Would be great if we had this, especially if we had the ability to spin up a
remote docker
for ARM64. Using buildx w/ QEMU is unbearably slow for large projects.Roger Steve Ruiz
This example using machine images to build multi-arch Docker files seems to be working. https://kesdev.com/building-multi-architecture-docker-images-on-circleci/

Hi folks, unfortunately I still do not have an update on a timeline for support of ARM on our Docker executor. It is still something we want to provide our users and on our public roadmap: https://circleci.com/product-roadmap/
I did want to share that we have launched a self-hosted runner called "container runner" that can be installed on an ARM Kubernetes cluster. It supports jobs that use the Docker executor. Details here: https://circleci.com/docs/container-runner

Hi folks, thank you for the interest in this request. We are strongly considering adding this support and I will update this post as soon as I have more information.

We utilize ARM via AWS Graviton2 and had to migrate away from CircleCI as the ARM docker executor is not yet supported. It's much cheaper to ditch CircleCI than it is to not adopt Graviton2 given the savings on our cloud bill.

I'm very interested in this feature. CircleCI is the missing link in build chain with lack of Docker ARM support.

As others have said, despite this feature being critical to migrate workloads to arm64, there has been little feedback from CircleCI regarding its implementation. In particular, the original post clearly highlights the interest for arm64 docker executor. As the post was marked as complete after the release of arm64 machine resources, the score of the current request misrepresents the interest for this feature. Any update would be appreciated.
