Manually adding tag filters to individual jobs is painful for a longer chain of dependencies and is also likely to cause mistakes in the future. Someone is bound to forget to add the tag filters to even a single job in the chain and suddenly the whole chain will fail to run.

It would be helpful if this caused a failed configuration validation.
